Sexual and gender-based violence.
Preventing sexual and gender-based violence in Bogotá, Barranquilla, Santa Marta and Cartagena Partners: ACJ Locations:Bogotá, Barranquilla, Santa Marta & Cartagena.
The three-year project to reduce conflict-related sexual violence and commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) in Bogotá, Barranquilla, Santa Marta & Cartagena started last year and will run until November 2027. The objective is to strengthen the capacities of children and young people (CYP) at risk of sexual and gender-based violence and their communities, create care pathways for survivors/victims, and contribute to the creation of protective environments.
GENERAL ACTIVITIES
- Co-create care pathways and establish response mechanisms to support children’s survivors of sexual exploitation and/or gender-based violence in each community.
- Workshops to teach children self-protection tools and coping skills to prevent and mitigate the risk of sexual and gender-based violence.
- Training 15 people in Nurturing touch programme.
- Nurturing touch sessions for children and carers.
- Training sessions, and workshops with carers, parents and teachers on teaching and parenting guidelines, and prevention of sexual and gender-based violence.
- Raising awareness events with the community led by young leaders to share care pathways and the different available tools to address sexual and gender-based violence.
